Cuaderno de bitácora
June 2020
It’s officially summer, even though it doesn’t seem like it. The island is empty. No beach bars, tourists or nightclubs. They say this was how Ibiza was 30 years ago.
At the moment we’re moving between feeling so fortunate to have this paradise island to ourselves, and fearing that we won’t be able to pay our rent this winter. But today Capi got the boat ready and Valen grabbed her analogue camera….and Annita and me let ourselves be taken along for the ride. We spent the lockdown together and it seems we need less and less words to understand each other. We decided to just enjoy this day.
We set off for Formentera, and I gave everyone a piece of jewellery. I thought it could be beautiful to show the pieces in this way, naturally, worn by us, without too much planning. This has been such an unpredictable year, wouldn’t it just be better to live it as it comes?
With a little bit of luck, the wind might blow in our favour.
